We're Chris and Rachel, and we started Triangle Threads because we were tired of spending money on destination apparel that ended up in donation piles. You know the ones—they look great in the gift shop but fall apart after a couple washes, fade into oblivion, or just feel... forgettable.
Based in Raleigh, North Carolina (right in the heart of the Research Triangle—hence the name), we're halfway between the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Atlantic Ocean. We're not extreme adventurers or full-time nomads—we're just regular people who love exploring new places, both near and far. And we wanted travel apparel that actually reflects those adventures—shirts worth keeping, not tossing.
So in 2023, we launched Triangle Threads with vintage-inspired designs pulled straight from the 80s and 90s era we grew up loving. Chris designs every piece with bold, retro graphics and colors that pop. Rachel handles customer service—because when you're running a small business, every customer matters. What started as a side project took off in 2024, and now it's what we do full-time.
